KARACHI – Cooking became more expensive in Pakistan as prices of Ghee, and oil severely affected both consumers and small traders, especially in the food market.
Lately, the price of cooking oil moved up Rs30 while ghee prices also saw a hike of Rs30-40 per kg. Consumers are also feeling brunt, with rising food prices hitting household budgets hard.
Small traders expressed frustration over lack of government relief as inflation continues to climb, with the Sensitive Price Indicator showing a 0.28pc increase in week ending October 17.
