LAHORE – The Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is a key identity document issued by the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) to citizens of Pakistan.
The card carries details such citizen’s name, birth date, and postal address while the marriage status is available in the Nadra record.
The applicant is required to provide accurate information to Nadra while applying for the ID card.l
It is also necessary for the citizens to modify the details about their marriage status in Nadra record after the marriage as it bring various benefits for them.
After updating the marriage status, the applicant will be able to get the computerised marriage certificate and B-Form of children.
Males can apply for modification of marital status.
Required Documents
Nikhah nama or marriage certificate or (notarized by local attorney/attested by Pak Mission) by both spouses and copy of spouse CNIC.
Nadra Fee for Marriage Status Modification
Since it is the non-printable modification, the Nadra fee fee changing the marital status stands at Rs100.
Nadra can reject the application for modification if it is not satisfied with the details provided by the applicant.
