Imran Abbasy, Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), engaged with Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir SarfrazBugti, to discuss vital issues surrounding resource exploration and community development in the province.
During their discussion, Abbasy shared PPL’s strategic plans for hydrocarbon exploration and mining in Balochistan, including updates on social development projects aimed at improving the quality of life for local residents. The meeting also addressed the current status of the Sui Gas Field’s Development and Mining Lease. Highlighting ongoing initiatives, Abbasy pointed out the sustainable development efforts under Bolan Mining Enterprises, a joint venture between PPL and the Government of Balochistan (GoB).
He stressed the importance of these projects in significantly uplifting the socioeconomic status of local communities. Reiterating PPL’s commitment to community welfare, Abbasy noted the company’s efforts to provide free gas and water supply to Sui Town, along with various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that aim to enhance the living standards of residents.
Chief Minister Bugti responded by assuring PPL of the government’s full support and underlined the necessity of a collaborative approach to foster local community development and overall progress in the region. Both leaders expressed their determination to work together for the advancement of Balochistan and the nation as a whole.
