ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a scheme to distribute electric motorcycles among selected students of the government schools.
The premier made the announcement while chairing a meeting to discuss measures for promotion of electric vehicles in the country.
He said like the laptop scheme, e-motorbikes will be distributed to students who perform well in government schools. The motorcycles is expected to be given to students for free of cost as no charges are received for laptops distributed among the brilliant students of the government schools.
Who Will be Eligible for PM E-Bikes Scheme?
As the prime minister said in his statement, the e-motorbikes will be distributed among the students who show exceptional performance in school.
PM E-Bike Scheme Launch Date
The premier in the meeting just dropped a hint of launching the program. However, he did not share any exact date for launching the initiative as it would take months to finalise the scheme.
Pm Calls for Buying Only E-Bikes for Govt Departments
The prime minister issued orders to all federal ministries, directing them to purchase only electric motorbikes for all federal government departments in the future to save national funds.
The prime minister also instructed the Capital Development Authority to prepare a comprehensive plan for electric public transportation in Islamabad.
