LAHORE – Punjab Excise and Taxation Department rolled out customizable vanity number plates and these aesthetically plates will be legal and include security features.

Excise officials said these plates will be permanently owned by buyer. To deal with concerns about counterfeit plates, a detailed registry of all vanity plate owners will be maintained as part of comprehensive strategy.
With the start of new policy, Mufti Qavi has been appointed as the ambassador for the Vanity Number Plates Scheme, tasked with promoting the initiative and enhancing public awareness.
The scheme aims to bring a new level of personalization to vehicle registration and improve regulatory oversight in country’s most populated region.
