Minister for Local Government, Housing, Town Planning, Public Health Engineering, and Rural Development, Saeed Ghani, emphasized the importance of inviting journalists from across the country to Sindh to witness the province’s development projects. Speaking at a dinner hosted in honor of a 17-member delegation from the Lahore Press Club, led by its President Arshad Ansari, Ghani expressed his desire for greater media awareness regarding ongoing projects in Sindh.

The event was held at a local hotel on Wednesday night. Ghani highlighted major projects under construction, particularly in Karachi, including the Malir Expressway, the K-IV water project, and a new canal to supply water from Hub. He also mentioned several public welfare projects completed in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, and Larkana, with others still in progress. Discussing the power crisis, Ghani stated that the issue stems not from a shortage in production but from electricity theft.

He suggested that rather than relying on temporary subsidies, a long-term solution should be devised through consultation with all provinces. Additionally, he stressed the need for alternative energy sources. Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari shared his impressions of Sindh’s development, particularly in Tharparkar, noting that the region’s progress had exceeded his expectations.

He praised the work being done under the leadership of Sindh’s Chief Minister, expressing optimism about the province’s future. Ansari also commended the efforts of senior minister SharjeelInamMemon, particularly in the Information and Transport departments, citing the introduction of the red and pink buses as notable steps towards Sindh’s growth.
