Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that the provincial government will launch Chief Minister’s Mujahid Volunteer Force that will deliver medicines to hospitals and care for coronavirus patients.
She stated this while chairing a high level meeting of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education department in Lahore on Saturday. Dr Yasmin Rashid said that a helpline is also being set up for the Volunteer Force.
The provincial government under the supervision of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was utilizing all available resources to control coronavirus and provision of between possible treatment facilities to the affectees.
Dr Yasmin Rashid received a donation of 9,000 N-95 non Medical Masks, 40,000 Disposable Masks and 1000 protective gloves from Chinese Company Chenggong at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department here on Saturday.
Present on the occasion were Additional Secretary Asif Tufail and representatives of the Chinese company.
The minister thanked the Chinese company for their support appreciated their effort for the control of Corona virus in Punjab.
The minister said that these are difficult times and local philanthropists musts come forward for the support of the needy at this time of trial.
She said the entire nation is together and the government is utilizing all available resources for the control of coronavirus in Punjab.
