LAHORE – Traffic police will not issue challans to anyone for violation in the Punjab capital city of Lahore today (June 3).

Lahore’s Chief Traffic Officer Ammara Athar made the announcement, saying no one will be fined for traffic law violations today.

“Today will be marked as Education Day,” she said, adding that only warnings will be issued to citizens instead of issuing challans to them.

The purpose of this activity is to raise awareness among citizens while fines are imposed to instill a sense of mistake, CTO said.

As part of Education Day, special camps will be set up on Mall Road, Jail Road, and Ferozepur Road. Wardens and lady wardens will education citizens over traffic laws.

Lahore Traffic Police is responsible for enforcing traffic laws and regulations in Lahore, Pakistan. They monitor the city’s roads to ensure safety and smooth flow of traffic. Violations of traffic rules can result in challans, which are essentially fines or penalties issued by the traffic police for breaking the rules.
