K-Electric’s Chief Distribution Officer, Sadia Dada, and Regional Head (Distribution), Sheikh HumayunSaghir, met with Pakistan People’s Party MNA from Lyari, NabeelGabol, along with MPA YousufBaloch and other local political and community leaders. The meeting was part of a committee established by the Government of Sindh to address the concerns of Lyari residents, focusing on issues such as load shedding and consistent payment of electricity dues.

The discussion centered on critical matters, including addressing the non-payment of bills and power theft, both of which are crucial for improving electricity supply to Lyari. The committee deliberated on strategies to engage residents and commercial outlets to clear their current month’s dues.

This effort would be supported by KE’s recovery camps, support teams, and respective Union Councils. It was agreed that the committee would hold bi-monthly meetings to review the progress of community engagement actions and strategize further improvements in bill recovery metrics for the area.
