Punjab government will provide more than Rs.250 million subsidy to farmers of district Hafizabad to purchase 417 Super Seeder Machines for discarding residues of crops to overcome issue of burning residues of crops and spread of smog.
In this connection, belting was held under the supervision of Assistant General Revenue Sagir Ahmad Bajwa, Deputy Director Agriculture Muhammad Yousaf, Deputy Director Engineer Agriculture Hafiz Muhammad Zubair and Agriculture Officer Fraz Ahmad.
Deputy Director Agriculture told that 494 famers were participated in the draw and 417 farmers were selected through belting eligible for subsidy and government would provide Rs.6 lakh subsidy on purchase of machine each. There would not be need to burn remains of crops with provision and use of Super Seeder Machines to discord residues of crops which would be helpful to overcome smog and environmental pollution in the great extant.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Sundas Irshad said that in order to pass out benefits of decrease in petroleum products to people, new public transport fare table has been issued while special powers have also been entrusted to officers of district administration to ensure implementation on new fare table.
