Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has disconnected over 50 illegal water connections in the Rehmanabad slum, Block Five, Federal B Area, Gulberg Town. The operation, executed under the directive of the court and the instructions of KWSC CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, involved coordination between Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) staff and the Sindh Police. According to the KWSC spokesperson, the crackdown aimed to curb unauthorized water usage and ensure fair distribution of water resources. The involvement of law enforcement underscored the seriousness of the operation, ensuring compliance and safety during the disconnections. The KWSC emphasized that such operations are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the city’s water supply system and preventing illegal activities that disrupt equitable water distribution among Karachi’s residents.
