Security forces on Tuesday killed at least three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Zhob district, the military said in a statement.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani troops effectively engaged the location of the terrorists. It said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
However, it added that, during the intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from the front, 33-year-old and resident of Mianwali district Major Babar Khan, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom.
ISPR stated that sanitisation operation is being con-ducted to eliminate any other terrorists present in the area.
ISPR further said that the security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts to sabotage the peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen the resolve.
