Authorities review strategy to combat dengue epidemic

In a concerted effort to tackle the burgeoning dengue epidemic, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Anil Saeed of Attock has urged the populace to adhere rigorously to the code of conduct issued by the Punjab government. This call to action comes as a vital step towards effectively controlling the spread of the disease.

A pivotal meeting was convened, attended by representatives from various departments including Education and Health, where CEO Health Dr. Asad Ismail, DHO Dr. Kashif Hussain, and MS Government Isfandyar Bukhari District Hospital Dr. Jawadalhi were among the key figures present.

The gathering was instrumental in providing a detailed overview of the ongoing anti-dengue campaigns.

During the briefing, it was underscored that comprehensive measures are being implemented across the district to combat dengue. Each department has been assigned a specialized role, while concerted efforts are being made to raise public awareness through extensive campaigns.

In the meeting’s thorough review of departmental performances, ADCG Attock emphasized the critical nature of the current dengue situation, highlighting its life-threatening implications. He stressed the indispensable role that all government, semi-government, and private institutions must play in eradicating dengue.
