Rehmani shocked over drowning of kids in Jhelum

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) AJ&K, has expressed profound grief and sorrow over drowning of a number of kids in the Jhelum at Gundabal-Batwara.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, in a condolence message said that the incident of boat capsizing occurred when the ill-fated boat was ferrying number of kids and their parents through the swollen Jhelum River. The incident has send shock waves across the Valley of Kashmir, he added.

In his message Kashmiri vateran freedom icon prayed for the parents and children whose precious lives were lost in the horrific tragedy and for the bereaved families, saying that the great loss was felt by everyone in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“It looks really sorrowful that during the last 15 years the administration have failed to construct even a footbridge on the river due to negligence and exposed children to such a calamity”.—KMS
