The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) announced that the Hub pumping station has undergone repairs, and water supply to the city will resume as usual starting from the early hours of Tuesday. A spokesperson for KWSC stated that the 66-inch diameter rising main at the Hub pumping station has been successfully repaired.
“The rising main is currently being charged, and water supply to the city will be normalized by early Tuesday morning,” the spokesperson confirmed. The disruption in water supply occurred due to an unexpected power outage by K-Electric at the Hub Pumping Station last Saturday. Upon receiving the report, KWSC staff promptly arrived at the site and assessed the affected line.
KWSC Chief Operating Officer Engineer Asadullah Khan directed officials to expedite the restoration work to minimize inconvenience for the residents of Karachi.
