The 45th death anniversary of late Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan People’s Party Zulifikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) observed here. In this connection a ceremony held at resident of District President PPP Hafizabad Muhammad Arshad Mehind. Peer Syed Waseem-ul-Hasan Naqvi, Professor Noor Muhammad, Khaleeq Ahmad Qaisar, Syed Mussadiq Ghaznvi, Shaifq Rahi and other workers attended the ceremony.
Addressing on the occasion, Muhammad Arshad Mehind said that Zulifkar Ali Bhutto kept foundation of PPP and raised slogan of ‘Rooty’, ‘Kaprra and ‘Makan’ bread, cloth and residence and took different measures to uplift the poor. He said that he gained popularity during a short span of time contrary to any other politician in the country.
He created awareness among people about their democratic rights and declared that people were source of power. He said that Zulifkar Ali Bhutto launched work on atomic programme and gave constitution of the country but he was hanged to death on April 4, 1979 and closed bright era of progress and prosperity of the country.
