RAWALPINDI – Two young soldiers of the Pakistani army were martyred in a suicide attack on a convoy of security forces in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said a suicide bomber in D.I. Khan collided his explosive-laden vehicle with the security forces’ convoy, and as a result two personnel were martyred.

The martyred victims of the suicide attack, 38-year-old Naib Subedar Yasir Shakil and 34-year-old soldier Tahir Naveed hailed from District Kohat.

The army’s media wing said that those responsible for this cowardly attack would be brought to justice, as security forces are determined to eliminate the terrorism.

ISPR stated that the sacrifices of the brave soldiers further strengthened their resolve.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, terrorists attacked a security forces’ checkpoint in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, and eight officials were martyred.
