Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday visited provincial metropolis Peshawar to offer condolences to the Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali over the demise of his wife.
PM Sharif airdashed to KP and went to Wali Bagh Charsadda, the ANP headquarters, and condoled the death of Mrs. Asfandyar Wali with her son Aimal Wali Khan who is the provincial president of the Party. The ANP president Asfandyar was, however, conspicuous by his absence.
The wife of Asfandyar Wali Khan breathed her last on March 11. She was laid to rest in Charsadda, at Wali Bagh. During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his sympathies and recited Fateha for the deceased, praying for her soul to attain the highest status in heaven. He also extended his condolences to the grieving family and offered prayers for their patience during this difficult time.
Prominent among others who accompanied Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during his short sojourn to KP, where the PTI backed SIC is ruling, were Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Minister of State for Frontier Regions Ameer Muqam and former MNA and senior ANP leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilore.
