8th water conference on valuing water for sustainability

The two days 8th International Water Conference on “Valuing Water for Sustainability” organized by Riphah International University, PCRWR and UNICEF held with the aim to bring together experts, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss and address critical issues related to water resources management, sustainability, conservation, WASH, GLOF and climate change.

Hundreds of participants gathered physically and online from 6-7th March 2023, to urgently scale up action to address the water crisis and ensure equitable access across sectors agriculture, energy, environment and water and its considering Climate Change Adaptability, Water Governance.

The speakers terming water scarcity a big challenge for the climate-hit Pakistan said taking urgent steps such as nature-based solutions and developing civic sense about water conservation were need of the hour.
Further water-related disasters including shortages as the major sign of climate emergency and emphasized taking the issue as a major preoccupation by governments,universities, R & D Organizations, Development sector and citizens.
