Tarar Highlights Four Pillars Of Cpec At Pak China Information Corridor Launch

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has highlighted four key pillars of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), emphasising the importance of media, businesses, think tanks, and cultural and youth engagement in strengthening ties between the two countries.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Pakistan-China Information Corridor, Tarar said the four pillars were essential to promoting cooperation and building stronger relations between the two countries.

He said the first pillar comprises the media, followed by businesses and trade organisations as the second. Think tanks form the third pillar, while culture, tourism and youth constitute the fourth.

Tarar also drew a comparison between the development pace associated with Shenzhen in China and what he described as “Shehbaz Speed” in Pakistan.

“We had heard about Shenzhen Speed, and then we saw Shenzhen Speed turn into Shehbaz Speed,” the minister said during his address.

He also highlighted the role of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in advancing the shared vision between the two countries.

Tarar said President Xi Jinping had provided a vision of a shared future, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had provided Pakistan with the means to achieve that vision.
