ACP unveils theatre Hotel Jan-e-Jaan

The Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), in collaboration with Stage Bugs and Inkorporate Digital, convened a press conference to introduce the upcoming theatrical production “Hotel Jan-e-Jaan.” President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, led the panel, joined by prominent figures from the entertainment industry.

Renowned actor Yasir Hussain, writer Babar Jamal, talented actress Fiza Munir, and producer Raahim Bukhari shared valuable insights during the briefing. President Muhammad Ahmed Shah underscored the active involvement of Arts Council students in crafting the theatrical masterpiece “Hotel Jan-e-Jaan,” expressing staunch support for their endeavors. He highlighted the initiative’s dual benefit of nurturing aspiring talents and fostering motivation within the industry.

Commending actor Yasir Hussain’s support for the students, Shah emphasized the significance of such solidarity amidst prevailing challenges. He announced that the play would premiere at the Arts Council on April 19th, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey. Additionally, he revealed plans for the Arts Council’s academy to produce six independent productions annually under the banner of Black Box Theatre. Expressing gratitude, actor Yasir Hussain reminisced about his longstanding relationship with the Arts Council, citing their unwavering support for artists over the years. Writer Babar Jamal provided insights into the comedic storyline of “Hotel Jan-e-Jaan,” promising an entertaining experience for the audience. Producer Raahim Bukhari acknowledged Yasir Hussain’s generous assistance and praised the dedication of Stage Bugs members in bringing the play to life. “Hotel Jan-e-Jaan” promises to offer a unique blend of Persian romance and comedy , adapted from the English play “The Perfect Wedding.”

Directed by Farhan Alam Siddiqui and written by Babar Jamal, the play features a talented cast including Yasir Hussain.
