Lahore, Murree, Punjab weather update

LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab on Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday.

As per the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave is approaching western parts of Pakistan. It will likely move upper parts during the next 24 hours.

Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is likely in most parts of the province on Sunday evening/night and the next two days. Freezing weather with light rain is likely in Murree, Galyat and surroundings on Sunday night.

Shallow fog will likely prevail in Narowal, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura and Gujranwala during morning and night hours.

Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most of the province during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Shallow fog prevailed in a few plain areas of Punjab.

Murree remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped 02 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the evening was 77 per cent.

In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C. Relative humidity during the evening was 41 per cent.
