Security forces eliminate 18 terrorists in KP, Balochistan operations

QUETTA – Security forces have killed 18 terrorists in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In the latest operations, five terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed in an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan. Security forces targeted and destroyed terrorist hideouts during the operation.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the destroyed hideouts.

Security forces also conducted operations against Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.

Six terrorists were killed during operations in the Gorandhar and Mashkel areas, according to security sources. Sources said terrorists opened fire on a security check post in Mashkel and attempted to escape. Security forces responded and killed the fleeing terrorists.

A day earlier, seven terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Eidik area of North Waziristan.

The operation was carried out against Fitna al-Khawarij under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. Security forces pursued the terrorists and conducted a decisive operation, during which their hideouts were also destroyed.

The latest operations bring the reported number of terrorists killed in the two-day period to 18.
