Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Alhaaj Muhammad Hussain Shah of Mughal Masjid, Hawal, a beloved and well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family and a founding member of the Awami Action Committee.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar, terming the demise as a personal loss, paid tribute to Muhammad Hussain Shah for his precious services and sacrifices towards the organisation.
He said that the deceased was not only a founding member of the Awami Action Committee but also a close friend of Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, and helped strengthen the organisation at all levels.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said late Haji Hussain Shah had very close relations with him and the Mirwaiz family and besides being a well-known businessman, he was a person with deep insight and has a long association with Jamia Masjid, Srinagar. “His demise is a great loss not only for his family but also for me as well”, he added..
Meanwhile, a high-level delegation of the organisation attended the funeral prayer of the deceased which was led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, imam of Jama Masjid, Srinagar.
A large number of people, including scores of the AAC members, participated in the Namaaz-e-Janaazah of Muhammad Hussain Shah.—KMS
