Peshawar claimed the trophy after defeating Attock in the final of the 4th Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Twenty20 Blind Cricket Cup played here at Hayatabad Sports Complex on Sunday.
Peshawar won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up a target of 222 for three wickets after playing 20 overs with the help of an elegant century scored by Mohsin. Mohsin smashed all the bowlers toward the rope with his classic batting and made an unbeaten knock of 104 runs. Peshawar was dominating from the very first ball courtesy of Mohsin Khan who scored a superb 104 not out innings. Muhammad Asif was another batsman scoring 34 with the bat. Muhammad Nouman, Junaid khan, and Muhammad Haroon were successful claiming 1 wicket each. Thus Peshawar scored 222-3 in the 20 overs.
In reply Peshawar kept their dominance on once again. Attock was struggling from the start losing their early wickets. Moshin once again proved his self with the ball claiming 3 wickets. Amir Khan was the top scorer, hitting only 16 runs. Attock were all out for 98 runs in 12.5 overs.
Moshin Khan was declared as Man of the final with his elegant knock of 104 runs not out. Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council, Deputy Director Social Welfare Special Education and Women Empowerment Madam Nusrat Jabeen, Officer in charge, Hassan Tariq, Marketing Bank of Khyber, Ehtisham Khan Khattak, area sales manager Shama Cooking Oil and Banaspati, Javed Yousaf Ali and Nazeer Shah, Deputy Director Special Education Complex and Rizwan Ahmad, Officer in charge Special Education Complex were the guests and distributed prizes amongst the players.—APP
