The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) came down hard upon the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and snubbed it not to take any credit for the funding and fall of dollar against the local currency, saying that “all the funding Pakistan received so far is only because of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir,”. “Mian Sahib you alone cannot run this country because addressing the present challenges is not an easy task,” said PPP Central Punjab President Rana Farooq Saeed in a press conference held at the PPP Model Town Secretariat in Lahore on Wednesday.
The falling rupee, he said, also gained value against the dollar because of the army chief.
Lashing out at the PML-N top leadership, Rana Farooq Saeed said that “the protocol received by Mian Nawaz Sharif is unprecedented. The person who had gone abroad for four weeks returned after four years,”. “Nawaz Sharif should have surrendered before the court and would have gone to jail as it does not suit what he did,” he added. The PPP leader said that Nawaz Sharif meant by his return that he had now arrived, so his brother Shehbaz Sharif should be made as the caretaker prime minister. Saeed regretted that “Nawaz Sharif did not take into confidence even those who were their allies or friends,”. He made it clear to the PML-N leadership that such stains would never fade away.
