Narendra Modi-led Indian government continues to victimize the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by confiscating their houses and other properties for their affiliation with the freedom movement.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Modi regime in its latest action attached the immoveable property of one kanal and 15 marlas of orchard land of a freedom activist, Feroz Ganai, at Noorpora in Awantipora area of Pulwama district. The property has been attached in connection with a false case registered under black laws, including Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The Indian authorities have already confiscated the headquarters of All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Srinagar and hundreds of houses and properties belonging to Hurriyat leaders and organizations including the Jamaat-e-Islami across IIOJK. The occupation authorities have also demolished many residential houses, shops, shopping complexes and other properties in the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, in a message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail paid rich tributes to the Bijbehara martyrs on the eve of their martyrdom anniversary. He reiterated his call for an impartial probe into all massacres carried out by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. Over 50 innocent Kashmiris were martyred in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district on October 22, 1993, when the personnel of Indian Border Security Force opened fire on the peaceful demonstrators, who were protesting against the Indian military siege of Srinagar’s Hazratbal shrine.
People Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti, led a protest demonstration today in Srinagar against Israel’s aggression on Gaza. Mehbooba Mufti and PDP activists gathered at the party headquarters in Srinagar and tried to march towards the city centre Lal Chowk but were stopped by the Indian police near the General Post Office. The protesters raised slogans against Israel while Mehbooba Mufti was seen carrying the Palestinian flag.
The President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has strongly condemned the summoning of party leaders and activists to police stations again and again. Dozens of Anjuman Sharie Shian members including Agha Muntazir Al-Moosvi are being called regularly to the police stations for holding a protest march in Badgam on October 13 against the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
On the other hand, as part of its attempts to impose the Hindutva ideology of RSS in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Narendra Modi-installed puppet regime organised the singing of Hanuman Chalisa, a devotional hymn in praise of Hindu deity Hanuman, in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar. For this purpose, a large number of Hindus were brought from India.—KMS
