OLMT extends on-job training facilities to selected TEVTA students

TEVTA under its new vision of providing economic opportunities to its trained workforce inked an MoU with “Orange Line Metro Train” for providing job opportunities to TEVTA graduates possessing skills required by “Orange Line Metro Train”, on Tuesday, at TEVTA Secretariat.
The MoU was signed by TEVTA Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique and Ahsan Fayyaz, Deputy CEO Orange Line Metro Train, Pakistan, on behalf of their respective organisations. Among others concerned, TEVTA COO Akhtar Abbas Bharwana was also present there.
Under the agreement, TEVTA would identify eligible candidates for the vacancies shared by “Orange Line Metro Train” (OLMT) in the skills required by it and arrange for calling the specified numbers of candidates at the specified venue while OLMT would share list of vacancies and eligibility criteria with TEVTA indicating the required skills besides sending panel of experts for interviewing these candidates. Moreover OLMT would also extend opportunity to TEVTA students for study visits and would also provide guest speakers and subject matter specialists for career counseling and guidance etc to students in different TEVTA Institutions. The OLMT would also extend on-job training facilities for select TEVTA students in consultation with TEVTA.
Addressing the ceremony TEVTA Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique said that TEVTA under its new vision of running demand driven courses and creating job opportunities for its trained workforce was giving priority to generating job placements for them. The MoU signed with OLMT would serve as a vehicle for achieving this objective.
