A five-member committee has been constituted to redress complaints relating to private housing schemes and commercial buildings. Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Chaudhary Muhammad Asif in a meeting here on Saturday said that the Secretary Housing Urban Development Punjab would be the convener whereas the DG Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Special Secretary Local Government & Community Development and Chief Metropolitan Planner LDA would work as members of the committee.
He said that the committee would hear public complaints related to management, maintenance and improvement of private housing schemes and commercial buildings in addition to legality and constitutionality of charging of user fees, rates, utility bills, etc. against the provided facilities and services and imposed penalties.
The committee will also redress the matters regarding transfer charges, sale deeds, ownership rights of the properties after complete payments by buyers .—APP
