The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the terror and fear situation created by more than one million Indian forces’ personnel in uniform and civic constantly engaged in the worst kind of gross human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the illegally detained APHC Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt in a message from New Delhi’s notorious Tihar jail urged the UN to impress upon New Delhi to stop widespread grave human rights abuses in IIOJK. He demanded a high level probe by the International Criminal Court into the heinous war crimes being perpetrated by Indian forces’ personnel in the occupied territory.
He also asked India to take steps for holding of a free and impartial plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir under the supervision of the UN to enable the Kashmiris to decide their political future by exercising their right to self-determination recognized by the World Body through its several resolutions.
Meanwhile, APHC leaders Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Shafi Lone and Devinder Singh Behl, in their statements warned India to desist from testing the patience of the freedom loving people of Kashmir by engaging its regular armed forces to terrorize them and inflict unspeakable atrocities on them. They maintained that the people of Kashmir have time and again rejected the Indian rhetoric about Kashmir and have displayed a strong resistance against India’s illegal occupation of their homeland.
The leaders said that the Narendra Modi-led Hindutva Indian government cannot mislead the world community about the prevailing grim situation of occupied Kashmir through its nefarious tactics. They said the Kashmiris will continue their struggle till resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with their aspirations.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK leader Mushtaq Ahmed Butt in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in a suicide blast in Mastung area of Balochistan.—KMS
