CM unhappy with Kahna hospital facilities

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi expressed strong dissatisfaction after observing poor conditions at Government Indus Hospital Kahna during a surprise visit on Sunday.

He criticized the staff for providing false information and noted issues like non-functioning air-conditioners, cleanliness problems, and blood stains on bed-sheets. The patients expressed concerns about staff behaviour and delays in medical check-ups.

Naqvi inspected various departments, contacted the health secretary and expressed disappointment at the hospitals state. The Commissioner Lahore division and Deputy Commissioner Lahore were also present.

He has sought a report from the administration and police on the incident and directed the administration to provide best treatment facilities to the injured persons. He stated that the Punjab government equally shares grief of the heirs of deceased persons.

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday reviewed the progress on construction of Akbar Chowk Flyover project.

During the visit, the caretaker chief minister was briefed by Director General Lahore Development Authority about the project.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi directed the concerned to construct model road from College Road to Akbar Chowk.

He also instructed for construction and restoration of Janat Chowk Park Town Ship.

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi the other day oversaw the inauguration of the Emergency Expansion Block and Shelter at Children’s Hospital. The event was graced by young patients Maah Noor and nine-year-old Muhammad Qamar Javed, who despite their thalassemia affliction, symbolically inaugurated the project by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

The extensive Children’s Hospital Emergency Expansion Project is designed to accommodate a total of 200 beds, providing critical healthcare services to the region. The initial phase of the expansion has established a fully functional ward with 38 beds. During his visit, Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi meticulously inspected various hospital facilities including the ORS room, isolation wards, and radiology departments. He also took time to assess specially designed facilities, such as the accessible toilets for children with special needs. Impressed by the construction standards of the Children’s Hospital Emergency Expansion Block, the Chief Minister also personally examined the residential rooms.
