APHC leaders and organizations have said that Nar-endra Modi and his government are suppressing people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir with the use of cruel state apparatus.
APHC leader, Davinder Singh Bhel, Narender Singh Khalsa, Shahid Saleem, Muhammad Aqib, Jammu Kashmir Pirpanchal Freedom Movement and Jammu Kashmir Awami Party in their separate statements issued in Jammu said the oppression was meant to weaken people of Jammu and Kashmir politically and economically.
They said that the systematic and massive house raids, siege and search operations, human rights violations by Indian forces cannot stop the Kashmiris from demanding their promised right to self-determination.
There is neither freedom of expression nor free-dom of religion in IIOJK and even right to life is missing under huge presence of of Indian armed forces in the territory, the said. This, they added, is a huge threat to regional peace and security.
The statements added that India was plotting to further divide IIOJK and change its demography to perpetuate its illegal hold. This is clear violation of the international law and the relevant United Nations resolutions, they deplored.
“India can neither change the disputed status of Kashmir as enshrined in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions nor can it force Kash-miris to accept illegal outcomes. Kashmir is an in-ternationally recognized disputed territory and Paki-stan will continue to oppose Indian attempts of changing the demographic structure of the territory through military might,” the leaders said.
The condition of Kashmiri detainees in Indian jails and in IIOJK is very pathetic and there is no provision of any judicial exercise and appealed to the international community to take cognizance of the situation.—KMS
