The district administration of Rajanpur on Saturday taking strict action against wheat hoarders has seized 7,000 bags of wheat worth more than Rs.60 m.
The Deputy Commissioner of Rajanpur Dr. Mansoor Baloch told media that he got intelligence based information that a huge quantity of wheat was stored illegally in the area. He directed the concerned authority to raid the identified godown. The stored wheat was recovered from a private godown on Dajal Road after which the godown was sealed.
He has said that the value of seized wheat is more than Rs. 60 m in open market. He claimed that his administration would take every possible measure to foil every attempt of wheat hoarding and smuggling.—INP
