Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Umer Farooq Warraich said that Minorities are enjoying religious freedom and celebrating their religious festival while constitution of the country protect fundamental rights of the minorities including Christian community. While distributing financial assistance cheques among Christian families, on Saturday, he said that government was providing financial assistant to poor Christian families so that they could celebrate and enjoy Christmas and other religious festivals without financial problems.
DC gave away cheques of ten thousand of rupees to families each and added that district administration and police was taking all possible steps to ensure security of the Christian community on the eve of Easter in the district. Meanwhile Chief Executive Officer Education Hafizabad Wazir Ahmad Agha visited different examination centres of metric and reviewed arraignments to ensure holding of examination transparently in peaceful atmosphere in the district.
