He called such proposals and resolutions complementary to burying the movement of Kashmir and farcical and misleading attempts of irresponsible politics, in the context of Indian government’s ruthless campaign against the Kashmiri Muslims and Islam in both Kashmir and India. Instead, he suggested a rigorous and persistent campaign for the right of self-determination for the people of Kashmir before the UN Security Council.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government should not waste its time in such activities, but instead the AJ&K As-sembly should adopt a serious resolution on the deteriorated human rights situation across IIOJ&K and urge upon Pakistan to kick off an international campaign in the United Nations for the implementation of the right of self-determination and emphasize upon India to repeal all such laws in Jammu and Kashmir which were repugnant to the UN resolutions and rules and principles of the august world body and finally had obstructed the UN road-map towards a just and peaceful resolution of Kashmir.—NNI
