Pakistan Day celebrated in a befitting manner

Pakistan Day was celebrated in a befitting manner in District Tank to commemorate the passage of historic Lahore Resolution on 23rd March in 1940, under which Muslims of the sub-continent set the agenda of a separate homeland for themselves.

In this regard, a rally was organized by Deputy Commissioner Office Tank and civil society which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Tank Shoaib Khan, Commanding Officer Pak Army, DPO tank, district administration officers, students of various educational institutions and civil society members. The rally marched through various markets and later reached Town Hall Ground where a colourful ceremony was held.

The participants were carrying National flags and chanting slogans “Pakistan Zindabad” & “Pakistan Army Zindabad”. The students and participents paid a rich tribute to the national heroes by presenting national anthems, tableaus and speeches while special recitation competitions were organized. He said March 23, 1940 was a day of making the Muslims emotionally prepared for the realization of their dream. He said that all out efforts would be made for the progress and prosperity and the nation will be united.
