India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday conducted searches at multiple locations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir including summer capital Srinagar in cases related to pro-freedom activities.
The NIA sleuths accompanied by the personnel of Indian police and Central Reserve Police Force carried out raids in Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Islamabad districts of the Kashmir Valley.
In Srinagar, the NIA team raided the residence of Juanid Ahmad Teli in Soura and thoroughly searched it. As per reports, the team seized a cell phone.
In Pulwama, houses of Zeeshan Altaf, in Nillora and Arif Malik in litter were frisked by the agency.
Similarly, in Kulgam the NIA raided the residence of Altaf Ahmad Wagay at Yaripora, Farooq Ahmad Dar at Hanger and Ashraf Ahmad Sheikhat Rampora. The house of one Ubaid Ahamad, a resident ofMagray Mohalla Achabal, was also searched by the sleuths of NIA.
Residence of Ghulam Mohammad Butt , a resident of Chermarg Zainapora in Shopian and Abdul Kabir Dar, Wachi Zainapora, were thoroughly searched by NIA teams.
Similarly, the raids were going on at other locations in the territory.
An official told the media that raids were being conducted in connection with a case already registered at the NIA office. He however did not divulge the details.—KMS
