In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandit women took to the streets in Jammu city to welcome congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, who is currently carrying out the march ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ against the divisive policies of the Narendra Modi-led Indian government.

The Kashmiri Pandits took to the streets with flowers to welcome the Congress leader in Jammu where they castigated the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that he had done nothing for the community.

“All they do is make false promises. We have come here to welcome Rahul Gandhi purely because we are anguished at how the present dispensation has treated Kashmiri Pandits,” an aged Kashmiri Pandit woman said.

She said that the members of Pandit community had staged a sit-in protest for two years to urge the Indian government to increase the amount of relief package. —KMS
