A large number of protesters held protest demonstration against police for not arresting alleged rapist of minor girl, who was allegedly raped at village Allah Bakhsh Khoso next to Madeji Town a few days back, and blocked the national highway by putting hurdles, here on Thursday.
Aggrieved protesters and family members of victim girl expressed their concerns over performance of police and said that Shikarpur police is not taking interest to apprehend the alleged rapist of minor girl and asked for the high ups to take notice of the issue and play their vital role to nab the alleged rapist. After the assurance of police protesters dispersed peacefully and reopened the National highway.
It is pertinent to mention here that Madeji Police have lodged an FIR [5/2019] under section 376-134 against Mehboob Ali aka Baboo Banglani by caste and one his accomplice, but still Madeji Police have failed to arrest the alleged rapist to maintain law and order situation in its jurisdiction.
