The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned India for killing the Kashmiri youth on daily basis in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed grave concern over the resumption of full-scale ‘Catch & Kill’ policy by Indian occupation forces in the territory. While paying tributes to the fake encounter victims of Shopian, the spokesman recalled the notorious days when the Indian troops raised some renegades and launched the killing spree in early 90s. He maintained that Indian secret agencies and the fascist rulers have, once again, revived the policy of fake encounters in the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, APHC leaders Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Farida Behanji in their separate statements in Srinagar said that the Indian troops are subjecting the innocent youth, children and the elderly to the worst torture in the garb of cordon and search operations to weaken their commitment to righteous cause of right to self-determination.

The leaders said that Kashmir is a political issue, which continues to remain unresolved for the past more than seven decades due to India’s intransigence. They said that Pakistan is doing its part at the international level to resolve the Kashmir dispute peacefully and in accordance with the UN resolutions.

The APHC leaders urged the international community to stop human rights abuses by Indian troops in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and play its role in resolving the long-pending dispute.—KMS
