Quetta court extends Swati’s remand for five days

A judicial magistrate court in Quetta remanded PTI Senator Azam Swati into police custody for five days on Sunday.

The PTI leader appeared before the court of Quetta Judicial Magistrate 10th.

The police sought 10-day remand of Swati but the judicial magistrate granted 5-day remand. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati was arrested by Balochistan police on Friday in a case of controversial tweets against the state institutions for the second time in two months.

According to the police sources, the PTI senator was on remand in the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime cell.

He had been handed over to Balochistan police after his remand ended. Balochistan police took Azam Swati to Quetta. Cases had been registered against him in Balochistan too.
