The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), in its operation at Faisalabad airport on Friday, arrested a man who was trying to smuggle heroin to Bahrain via Gulf Airlines. According to the ANF officials, Ishaq had concealed 103 capsules of the drug in his abdomen.
On the other hand, the ANF and the Frontier Constabulary, in their two joint operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), have arrested seven persons besides recovering over 228 kilograms of narcotics from them. Those arrested have been booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
The Forces have taken into custody six persons and recovered 82 kilograms of Chars from them at Ghareebi checkpost in district Kurram of the province. In yet another operation in the district, the Forces have recovered 146 kilos and 400 grams of Chars that had been concealed in secret portions of a truck.—INP
