The Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) exhibited breathtaking photographs captured by the youth of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan to highlight the landscape and cultural heritage of the beautiful northern region.
The Special Communications Organisation in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication organised the photography exhibition titled ‘Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Through My Lens’ under the theme of ‘My Land, My People’.
People from all walks of life including the participants, their families, art enthusiasts, and media attended the ceremony. The primary purpose of the initiative is to acknowledge the talent of the youth from remote regions and to showcase it at the national level. The exhibited pieces depicted landscapes and historical landmarks as well as traditional, cultural and scenic aspects of the regions.
The participants appreciated the SCO for promoting the talent of the youth in a novel way and under an inspiring theme. They remarked that the world needs to take notice that while youth from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan are showcasing their aesthetic works, the youth of Indian-held Kashmir yearn for freedom and only dream to enjoy the beauty around them. They reiterated the pledge that Pakistanis across the globe stand with their Kashmiri brethren who are going through turmoil and tough times.
