Azra Sultana promoted as Punjab Asstt. DG Nursing

Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department has promoted Azra Sultana, Instructor Nursing College Lahore General Hospital to Grade 18 and appointed her as Assistant Director General Nursing Punjab.

A formal notification has also been issued in this regard and she has taken over her new responsibilities.

A delegation of Young Nurses Association LGH led by Khalida Tabassum called on Azra Sultana and welcomed her new appointment and said that she has vast experience in administrative matters which not only solves the problems of nurses but also help to strengthen this Institution.

Azra Sultana, on the occasion assured the delegation that she would use all her energies to solve the genuine problems of the nurse’s community and no minute would be spared in this regard. She said that the Health Sector was the top priority of the Government and for the first time in history, cases of promotion of doctors and nurses are being dealt with on priority basis, which is a very welcome step.

Asst. DG Nursing told the delegation that we all had chosen this field to serve humanity therefore we will carry out our duties without any fear and the policy of “every patient is important” will be implemented in all cases. She further added that the commitment and dedication with which the nurses have performed their duties during the Corona epidemic will be written in golden letters in the history of the Health Sector.

Azra Sultana assured the delegation of her fullest cooperation and hoped that the nurses would continue to care for the patients with the same professional dedication. The visiting nurses congratulated Azra Sultana and presented her with gifts of flowers and wished her success.
