Oman celebrates National Day

Ambassador Al Sheikh Mohummed Omar Ahmed Al Marhoon of Sultanate of Oman in Islamabad hosted a warm reception in the federal capital to mark celebration of his country’s national day. A large number of guests graced the festive event. They included diplomats, especially the Arab ambassadors stationed in Pakistan, senior Pakistani officials and prominent people from various segments of the society.
Senate Chairman Sanjrani and Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar were distinguished guests at the reception.
Addressing the reception, the ambassador and the federal minister highlighted excellent cordial relations that exist between Pakistan and Oman. They said the two countries have developed close cooperation in various fields and they are keen to further expand and deepen their bilateral relationship for mutual benefit.
Pakistan and Oman are bound by historic ties. They are neighbours and shared views on regional and global issues relating to peace and security.
Over the years Oman has emerged as a progressive developing country. The people friendly model of governance of Oman is worth emulation for other countries.
