Number of accused of Dassu incident arrested

Inspector General Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkwa Moazzam Jahan Ansari has stated that number of accused have been arrested in the Dassu Incident in which trival has also been started and if India or any other country were involved in the incident, they can be dealt lawfully accordingly.” More arrests have been made during investigation as it is open handed cas.

He was addressing a media briefing at CPO Office here on Sunday. Flanked with CPO Hazara Mirvais Niaz and DPO Abbottabad Zahoor Baber Afridi IGP responding to a query told that they will implement the directives of Supreme court of Pakistan in the Police cadent appointments & promotion case.

Supreme Court orders will be implemented in letter & spirit as per law as they have to bound to follow it. It was delayed due to the stay order granted by Peshawar High court in which November 30th were fixed for hearing”.

Increasing flow of drugs in the Hazara as well as in Khyber pakhtunkwa, he told that they have addressed the shortcomings and weaknesses of the police in order to stop the flow of drugs through Afghanistan and Chaman and trying to eradicate this menace from the province.

He told that 8000 kg Chars, 800 KG Heroine and 450 kg ice has been recovered in the province during previous three months which cost billion of rupees. In a one recovery in Peshawar 80 KG Ice were recovered.
