In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have welcomed the appointment of Masarrat Aalam Butt as new Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
APHC Nazim Aala Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal in a statement issued in Srinagar, while congratulating Masarrat Aalam Butt said that he had a lot of sacri-fices and contributions towards the freedom move-ment.
The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, in a statement in Muzaffarabad described the appointment of Masar-rat Aalam Butt as APHC Chairman as timely and accurate decision.
He said, Masarrat Aalam Butt is a bold and steady leader and even presently he is under illegal detention. —KMS
