Three including an Assitant sub inspector (ASI) namely Sakhi Mohmmed Baloch and Head constable (HC) Ali Nawaz Chanar and an armed man Sadar Din Walari were killed and Sub divisional Superintendent (DSP) Ghulam Rasool Siyal and inspector and house station officer (SHO) Mumtaz Brohi were injured in firing opened by criminals who had allegedly occupied a piece of land near Babra village in Gharo police limits here on early Wednesday morning.
IG sindh police has taken notice of police men’s killing and directed to SSP Thatta Dr Imran to take action against the criminals involved in the crime.
Meanwhile following killing of armed man Sadar Din Walhari’ heavy contingents of police have cordoned off the area to arrest the rest of criminals.
SHO Gharo Mumtaz Brohi while talking to media men said that Ghulam sarwar Brohi, had complained the police that Sultan Palijo, Dr Naeem Palijo, Sikandar Shah, Sadar laghari have occupied their lands on which the police party moved to know the situation.
He said as the police party reached close to the lands meantime over 20 armed men already hidden in the bunkers opened indicreamatly firing on police by sophisticated weapons and killed and injured the above mentioned police men.
He said police on the directive of the high ups has started operation. On the other hand the dead bodies of deceased police men were brought in Thatta police head quarter after postmortem from Gharo rural health centre, where their Janaza Nimaz was offered with police discipline.
The body of Hc was sent to Jhol district Sanghar and ASI was from district Thatta he was buried near Sakro.
Later on mother of Sultan Palijo, Dr Naeem palijo and vice president of Awami Tehreek (ladies wing) Madame Hoor ul Nissa Palijo along with other ladies addressed a crucial press conference in Thatta press club She denied any involvement of her sons in newly developed issue and termed it drama played by police and their opponents.
