Ashura observed throughout the district with religious solemnity and peace to commemorate with the splendid martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in the desert of Karbalah for the glory of Islam.
About, 49-Ashura processions of Alam-o-Zuljannah were taken out from the different areas of the district amid tight security and ended peacefully at it respective points.
The main Ashura procession was taken out from Imambargah Hussainia Kamalpur Syedan. They were reciting Nohas with Matum by beating their chests.
They also performed Zanjeerzani, who have also been provided medical treatment by a mobile medical team on the spot. Police and other law enforcement agencies kept strict vigil on the entry routs of these processions.
The main Zuljannah procession was carried out from Imam Bargah Kamalpur Syadan in Attock Cant and ended peacefully at Karbala Haleem Shah. Several small processions were merged in it during its journey.
