Series of infrastructure development projects initiated under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special package for Karachi are fast underway with some near completion in Gulshan e Iqbal.
Arsalan Taj Ghumman, the young parliamentarian, representing residents of the PS – 102, Karachi East IV sharing here Friday the details of work undertaken by the funds made available to him by the federal government said road stretching from Children Hospital to Imam Bargah in G.Iqbal Block 5, that remained inaccessible for years had finally been completed to great relief of the citizens.
Similarly leaking underground water supply lines in Baloch Goth off Gulshan e Iqbal 13-D are fast being replaced, with provision for new lines in the parts that remained denied of the basic human needs for more than 20 years.
“Consequent to completion of the work we plan to reconstruct the busy thoroughfare in a locality mainly inhabited by people of scanty resources,” said the enterprising MPA representing Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Arsalan further mentioned that one of the busiest road connecting the traffic flow from Liaqutabad and also that moving from Hasan Square towards G.Iqbal 13-D has been recently completed after been left unattended by the provincial government.
A road connecting Block 13 A and Block 13 B inundated due to broken sewage lines is also part of development schemes funded by the federal government, said young public representative.
Mentioning with deep concern that a road in the vicinity of Dalmia cement factory, on which is also located Kashif Thalasaemia Center was also in a pathetic state for years, extremely hazardous for kids inflicted with the blood borne disease.
“We have taken upon ourselves to get it built from the funds made available to us by the Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). government,” Arsalan Taj Ghumman said expressing his confidence that satisfactory and timely completion of the work would not only be beneficial for people in general but also for children with compromised immunity.
Arsalan Taj Ghumman on the occasion alleged that the provincial failing to realize its obligation towards the masses is perturbed as why something good is being done for the Karachiites.
“The work undertaken by Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). in Karachi in a short span of time has not been delivered by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in past 10 years,” said MPA Arsalan Taj
